He's been around forever...surely it's time he got his own game now? It could be a platformer, or maybe something completely different. But show some love for the mushroom man

He's gonna be pretty big in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. He's not a strong enough character to carry a whole game.

Arguably neither is Princess peach or Tingle but that didn't stop nintendo.
They are already scraping the barrel so toad getting his own game wouldn't surprise me.

The Mario Kart games are practically Toad games in their own right, given that it's always a mad rush to pick him first in them. =P
But seriously, I'm gonna say no. I can see it happening, but I personally don't think its necessary. I can't really see a Toad game being any except a platformer of some kind, and he doesn't really have any special quirks that I can think of which would make it unique. All I can really envision from a Toad game is a Mario game with a different lead character. Sorry to be cynical, but I really can't run anywhere with this idea.

Well the Prinnys got their own game in Disgaea so why shouldn't the mushrooms. Although Prinnys are technically mascots so they generally get the royal treatment...

Plus, there's the fact that they actually have quirks. They carry everything in their pouches, and they explode when thrown.
Toad is just... well... part of the scenery.

I think it'd be kinda cute if Toad got his own game, but I don't think it'll work out, his own mini games series I suppose. Though this led me to question on Daisy getting her own, even though she's not liked as much lol
